I attended WikiSym 2005 and WikiMania 2006 and plan to come to RecentChangesCampMontreal2007 / RoCoCoMontreal2007.

At RecentChangesCamp2006, i helped set up the computers from FreeGeek, made the ContributionHat ask, prompted our use of SynchroEdit, posted photos of the session wall and generally supported ParticipatingRemotely as much as possible.

My first priorities were to:

• Help everyone have a good time, get the most out of the event, and stay connected. check
• Move along development of WikiStandards and code - in particular in support of wide implementation of SisterSites?. check - new plaintext format announced, and implemented on five wikis
• Nurture the growing connections between geeks and other ProcessArtists. check - brought in my process skills/awareness by holding a session on the EvolutionaryEdgeOfSoftwareDevelopment, and got people interested to learn more about, organize and/or attend an event bringing together geeks and other ProcessArtists. I was calling this an EvolutionarySalonForSoftwareDevelopers?, but that doesn't really describe it.
• Find the edge of Drupal wiki development and push it (immediate motivation being http://evolutionarynexus.org/ ) oops - though i did get the name of a developer

Other intentions:

Install (or at least get clear how to install) spam protection for AbbeNormal?, NvcWiki?, NcddWiki?, and others. Learned that there is no active project to do blacklist sharing for Eaton - Will look into Linksleeve.

Update my Wiki Weblog PIM vision - http://ourpla.net/john/wikiweblogpim.html (akin to the CyberneticRoadmap)

My wiki-weblog AbbeNormal? was recently a battle ground for spam, but we have achieved a truce (spam gone, editing possible but restricted to those with the secret knowledge). After the SharedAntiSpam? system is ready i'll go on the offensive - if successful then i'll be open for public editing again.

John, take a look at http://linksleeve.org/ , the guy contacted me the other day and he seems to have come up with an effective way to deal with spammers on sites that allow people to post text. – KennethTyler
